Yesterday I had my first solo show ever in Senegal. Cheikh Lo was so kind to invite me to open for his show in Dakar. In a pretty spontaneous moment i found myself presenting my modern interpretation to Senegalese drumming to an audience of Senegalese people only!
The love I got from the people was jut overwhelming and went beyond what I could ever imagine or expect. Here is one of the rhythms I played, based on a composition by Doudou Ndiaye Rose.
